Daily Prayer For September 17, 2015

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Dear Lord,

It’s so important for every aspect of our lives to live with an attitude of gratitude, but at times the trials of life seem to overshadow the good…we lose perspective when we focus more on what is happening around us instead of looking to you. In this quiet time with you Lord, we want to regain a joyful, thankful perspective on life.

So, Lord, we thank you because you know our every need before we ask… we thank you for wanting to carry our burdens for us… you know they are too heavy for us… you don’t want us to be weighed down…you want us to know the fullness of your joy and the power of your might.

We thank you Lord, because we are never alone. We thank you for humbling yourself and coming here to save us…we thank you for all you endured so we could say we have a Savior that knows and understands all that we go through. We are so thankful that you overcame sin and death and died to set us free. Thank you, for interceding in prayer for us. We are so grateful that because of you, we don’t have to be afraid or alone… there is nothing anyone can do to us that can take us from your hand…we thank you for being our peace, shelter and fortress. We praise you, because you lead us to calm places to restore our souls…we thank you for preparing a place for us where we will live forever in your presence…we are so thankful that we have heaven to look forward to….we find peace, knowing that this is not the end…that there is coming a day when we will be united with you and all the trials of this life will fade away in an instant.

Even though life is hard, you are good all the time…each breath we take and every beat of our heart is a blessing…may we never take for granted each physically or emotionally pain-free day that we have… we thank you for friends and loved ones who stand beside us… for shelter and food… we thank you because we have you, the King and Kings and Lord of Lords, as our protector, confidant, advocate and lover of our souls.

Fill us we pray, Lord. Go before us and light our way. Keep us close to you and help us to learn to effectively overcome negative thoughts and thinking the worst case scenarios. Help us to make faith our first response instead of fear…help us to trust you instead of being anxious…help us to grow and become strong and mature in our spiritual thinking. Help us to see our problems and cares through your eyes. Give us more of Jesus and help us to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to you. In the name of our beloved Savior we ask these things. Amen
