Daily Prayer For January 12, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…

Our Father,

Today, we pray for ears to hear and eyes to see you. The power of life and death are in your hands. You, the creator of all…our loving Abba Father, you are greater than anything that is before us or against us. Please help us to cling to you and not our fear, pain, or doubts… help us to keep our eyes on you, our Problem Solver, instead of our problems…too often we reach out to accept your peace and to give everything over to you and then the enemy draws our attention away and we focus once again on the circumstances instead of You…help us to no longer go back and forth…help us to remember your faithfulness and the lessons we have learned in the past…help us not to be double minded, filled with confusion, or unsure of all that we can do through you…help us to be confident and bold in how we live our lives…help us to remember we are not on our own, we are not defenseless, we are not without hope.

Father, we pray for your strength to overcome. We pray to be so tired of the things of this world, that we abandon ourselves completely to you so that you might do a new work in us. We want to be free from the chains that bind… We want to follow the example of our Biblical heroes who walked by faith and not by sight…We don’t want to be immature in our faith, reasoning or logic… we want to be strong and mature in you.

Help us not be sidelined by those who would come against us. Help us not to be afraid of men’s words or actions… When we have needs, help us to trust that you are faithful to provide… You have a very long track record of providing for your children. Help us dwell on who you are and what you’ve done… help us to remember it is your sufficiency, not ours that makes the difference…Help us to let go of emotions and memories that keep us a prisoner of the past and keep us from walking into the good plan that you have for us. Help us to take the leap of faith that lands us in your arms…and into your peace that defies our circumstances.

Father, touch us and fill us, as only you can. Help us to heal. Help us to move forward. Help us to know you better. Help us to walk in your will and to patiently wait as you prepare the answers to our needs and the blessings you have for us. Father, we give our lives to you and ask to feel your nearness this day. Bless us, so we can bless us and use us for your glory, Lord. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen
