Daily Prayer For November 29, 2015
Mon Nov 30, 2015 9:57 pm
Hello, Friends! I’m feeling led to re-post this prayer today…
Our Father,
We thank you for being the God of redemption. We praise you for being the God of miracles. We thank you for transforming what was dark and wrong, into things that have been purified and restored for your glory. We think of Moses and David who both murdered men and yet they found redemption. You used them in such profound ways. We think of Rahab, who was a prostitute and she found redemption as she saved Joshua’s spies. She changed her ways and became an ancestor in Jesus’ lineage. Then there was the Apostle Paul…he was brutal in his attacks on Christians. He was relentless as he persecuted Christians and thought himself righteous for doing so…and yet he was transformed and found redemption to become one of your most loyal followers. Paul’s story should give us hope for our friends and family who are so adamant in their disbelief…all it takes is one split second to have their eyes opened to the truth of who you are. There is no one who is so far gone that they can’t be changed and saved.
Thank you, Lord for taking our sins and our failings and washing us clean in the blood of Jesus. Thank you for taking our brokenness and transforming our pain into something that has purpose and beauty. We may not see that from where we are now… but you are the same yesterday, today and forever and your promises remain true. You promise to redeem and restore. We thank you for your mercy and your grace.
You know that we will stumble…you know that there will be things like divorce, infidelity, addictions, backsliding, unbelief, doubt, betrayal, promiscuity… and yet you already have a plan in motion to cleanse, heal, renew and restore…you use the things that would have destroyed us, to be a testimony to your life changing power. You waste nothing in our lives, Lord. You will take our messes and make a message…you will take our tests and make a testimony of your saving, redemptive power and grace.
Lord, we thank you for the unseen things you are doing in our lives and the lives of those we love. May these examples you’ve given in your Word, remind us to faithfully lift our loved ones in prayer and to not give up on them. You do what no man can do…you delight in our faithful, fervent prayers…intercessary prayer changes us and the faith of many grows as we see the our prayers being answered.
Lord, we look forward with excited anticipation for the things you are doing. May our faith grow stronger and more anchored in you as we remember that you are faithful to complete the work that you have begun in us. With gratitude we pray today, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
Blessings be upon you friends!
