Daily Prayer For March 8, 2017

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Our Father,
Too often we are so preoccupied and busy trying to get through our day, that we fail to gaze out at the signs that you’ve placed all around to let us know that you are with us…help us to stop and focus on you so we may feel your nearness today. May we be encouraged in your word. May we stop to look around and really take in the things around us. Connecting with nature is good for body, mind and spirit…taking in a sunrise or a sunset, gazing at the stars and moon, listening to the birds chirping, taking a short walk, stopping and smelling the flowers, all help us in so many ways…some days we just don’t feel like doing anything…sometimes we have to force ourselves to take the time to slow down and focus on this beautiful world you’ve created, but it grounds us and reminds us of who you are and your greatness…it reminds us that you are the Creator of All who is fully in control and nothing is too hard for you…
The enemy works hard to weigh us down…to keep us chained to heavy hearts…to make us think that there is no hope and that you don’t care. We know he’s wrong, but we carry around these heavy weights until we can’t see the light of day, we can’t see the beauty around us, we can’t see you on the horizon or anywhere at all, because we find it hard to look up when so much is pulling us under. Lord, we want to cast our cares on you..we want to give you our hurts and pain and ask you to bring beauty from ashes…we ask you to turn mourning to joy… to turn night into day… to bring new life from what seems hopeless… Who the Son sets free is free indeed, and we so want to be set free from the things in this world that rob us of your peace, joy, comfort and love and keep us from walking in the victory that you offer us…may we find that place of freedom in you today.
Lord, help us to stop and focus on you so we may feel your nearness. May we be encouraged in your word. May we sing praises to you in our hearts. Help us to remember that you are with us in our comings and our goings and in our times of rest. We know that you see every need and we thank you in advance for meeting those needs. In the name above all names we pray, Amen.
May the Lord bless you abundantly today!
