Daily Prayer For January 29, 2017
Mon Jan 30, 2017 1:33 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank you for the beauty of this world…we thank you for your promise of a future that is more wonderful than our minds can begin to comprehend. We thank you that our trials and afflictions, which seem to go on endlessly, are only temporary and like the blink of an eye, when compared to eternity. We are so grateful that the things that we suffer in this life, can’t begin to compare to the peace and joy that is coming… to the beauty that is coming… to the healing and restoration that is coming…
Father, please carry those who are hurting…sometimes we are too tired to walk…too weary to care…too exhausted to want to try to hold on…you know each person who is at one of those difficult places…you hear the silent cries and see all the brokenness…Lord, we pray that they will feel your nearness and comfort…we ask that they would feel the weariness being lifted from them…we ask for your mercy, grace and favor to be upon them… we ask for their strength to be replaced with yours… that their hurt would be healed and their sorrow and weariness replaced with your joy…
Even Jesus knew what it was like to feel weary and to feel the weight of heavy burdens and demands. He would go off by Himself to pray and to spend time with you. Help us to follow His example…help us to recognize that if Jesus had to recharge by being in your presence, then we must have an even greater need to do so. Lord, we pray that we would remember to use all the tools and resources you have given us…we ask for your help so we can call to mind all of your promises that will encourage us… that we will remember stories of people who have overcome to encourage us… you don’t want us to be discouraged or to give up…you want us to remember that you fight for us and beside us…you have gone before us that you and your angel armies surround us and the same resurrection power that raised Christ from the dead is within us…
Lord, we intercede and stand in the gap for those who are overwhelmed by grief, adversity, illness, pain and loss…we raise our hands as well and we ask that you fill us with your Spirit…please help us to keep moving forward and to keep looking up to you. In the name of Jesus we ask these things. Amen
Praying blessings of peace, comfort and strength for each of you!
