Daily Prayer For November 5, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
The Bible says that when Sarah gave birth to Isaac, she said you made her laugh and she knew everyone would laugh with her. We are told in scripture that you will turn our mourning to dancing and gird us with gladness… you will take away our clothes of mourning and dress us in joy….our weeping and tears will last through the night, but joy comes in the morning…
Lord, so many who are praying with us, can’t remember what it is like to laugh…they can’t imagine being filled with joy or having their mourning turned to dancing…but you are the God of the miraculous and The One who never breaks a promise…we can only imagine how Sarah felt having a child at her age…what utter joy she must have felt to hold a such an amazing miracle and precious gift in her hands… to have so much joy she could only smile and laugh…but even as we can imagine that joy…her joy is nothing compared to the joy that is coming for each of us… this is the dark night, but the bright, joy filled morning that will never end is coming…
Oh, Lord, may your joy fill every hurting heart today…may thoughts of you fill our days, and our dreams at night…may the thought of how we were lost in sin but now are saved, bring a smile to our face and comfort to our hearts. May we remember that you don’t promise just to exchange our mourning…you will convert it…you will take every hard and hurtful thing we have endured and convert it into something that brings spiritual fruit, will bring us closer to you and make us more like Jesus.
May we remember that you are waiting to take us to your self, just as a bridegroom awaits his bride…your Word says that you have lavished us with love…Lord, may my friends feel these things stir in their hearts and may it make them excited for all that you are doing now and for all that is coming…Please give them moments of laughter this weekend…Laughter is such good medicine for body, mind and spirit…please give them peaceful moments where they can escape their cares and pain and just be like a child who is carefree…May your joy give them strength to endure and press on…
We thank you, Lord for your goodness …help us remember that our trials and sorrows are just like a vapor that quickly fades away when compared with eternity, and a day is coming where our joy will never end. Lord, please bless each one praying. May they feel your nearness today. In Jesus’ name we ask these things. Amen
May your heart be filled to overflowing!
