Daily Prayer For November 2, 2016
Fri Nov 04, 2016 9:26 pm
Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
We are so blessed, but we often take so much for granted in our lives. In the Old Testament there was a distance between you and your people. They could only get so close to you. Even with Moses there were boundaries… he had to take off his shoes, when he was before you on holy ground …you loved your children, but sin separated them from you … Because of Jesus and all that He did, everything has changed for us… you want us to draw near to you…you don’t want there to be distance between us. You tell us to come just as we are…you tell us to come boldly to your throne of grace and to enter your gates with thanksgiving…
How blessed we are Father, that Christ can dwell in us…that we can become partakers in His divine nature…that He is our beloved Savior and we belong to Him… we are all part of the same vine…all part of the same body… heirs of your Kingdom with a divine inheritance…all of these terms and descriptions that are used to show how close we can be to you, Lord…what a mystery and a gift…yet we so often forget…we let the things of this life overshadow your nearness…we let the things of this life seem overpowering and overwhelming…we forget that nothing overwhelms you and you are in us and together and with your strength and power that is in us, there is nothing that we cannot conquer or overcome.Father, as we go about our responsibilities today, please fill us with a sense of awe and wonder as we think about what an amazing thing it is to have the Creator of all beside us in everything we do. May we walk humbly, but confidently with you… may we remember that you will not cast us aside… you will not turn a deaf ear…you will not abandon us… we are your beloved children in whom you take delight.
Help us Lord, to overcome our fears, anxiety and worries… help us to focus on our blessings…may praise for you fill our hearts…may our hearts be at peace as we claim your promises and wait on you and your timing for all things. Help us to learn our lessons well. Thank you Lord, for being in our midst and for hearing our prayers. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
May your day be abundantly blessed friends!
