Daily Prayer For September 1, 2016
Mon Sep 05, 2016 1:47 am
Hello, Friends! Here is today’s prayer…
Our Dear Heavenly Father,
Before our feet hit the floor in the morning, please help us to prepare ourselves for all that lies ahead each day. Remind us to put on the armor you have provided. May this become so ingrained in us that it becomes a part of our daily routines.
Help us to stand remember to put on the Girdle of Truth, which is your Word…it supports our core…it helps us stand strong and upright… it strengthens us so we won’t believe the enemy’s lies… it helps us to have your peace as we think on things that are true, Holy and pure.
As we put on the Breastplate of Righteousness, may it guard our hearts and keep them pure…. May we remember that our hearts are Christ’s home and that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. May we take protecting these things seriously.
As we put on the Shoes of Peace, may we stand strong in the good news that Jesus brings…may people see Your light in us…may they see through our witness, something different in us that draws them closer to you.
As we take up the Shield of Faith, may we find courage as it equips us to withstand the fiery darts of doubt, confusion discouragement, hopelessness, deceit, anxiety, despair and fear that the enemy constantly tries to use against us.
As we put on the Helmet of Salvation, help us to visually see in our minds a helmet that protects us from unwanted thoughts…from things that distract us …from sins that beset us… from memories that hold us back…from worries and fears…help us picture that helmet being a barrier between us and the things of the world that would take our eyes and mind off of you.
And Lord, as we take up the Sword of the Spirit… may we remember that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, lives in us. May we walk in the victory that is ours…not because of who we are, but because of WHO YOU ARE! It’s not by our might, not by our power, but by Your Spirit, that we shall overcome.
Lord, you have given us the greatest “pep-talks” in your word. Help us to remember that you have gone before us, the battle is won…help us to claim the victory that is ours and help us to stand strong and not give up or retreat…help us to remember through you, we can defend ourselves against the enemy’s weapons. May your truth fill us with hope, strength and joy as we go out to face this day. Thank you, Lord for who You are and for all you do in our lives! In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
May you walk in His victory friends!
