I started to convert clothes S4-S3 to S2
I know that it's been quite a long time since I posted here. It's due to real life priorities.
About two years ago, I eventually managed to make of Milkshape my friend, first for shoes swaps on Sims 2 standard custom meshes, because I like to have a great variety of shoes.
Then a bit later I started to convert Sims 4 shoes, it was quite a big bunch in only 2 months in a row.
I was also tired to ask some people to do meshes for me and wanted to learn how to convert clothes, accessories. All I'm still not too familiar with is converting hair meshes, or more precisely after conversion, it's difficult for me to avoid transparency issue on hair-alpha groups.
Here are a few things I converted. Note that I don't share all - quite much is for my personal use (because of original meshers TOUs) :
Sultana dress by VB (original found on a Russian site)
Zouyou's ballerina set
BlueCraving's Tavern dress (free Patreon)
An old Sims 2 Asian dress total redo in Milkshape - here with flats
(redo because after retexturing, the dress gets some weird "shimmer" hard to fix)
And what I'm proud of, is the most recent Sankta Lucia dress-accessories set (I made the candles myself in Milkshape), involving a conversion of a dress by Sifix (Elin dress) and small waist belt by Marigold (BottomScarfRibbonDestroyedJeans) ; the flower crown is by Ersel (Omela Wreath, Erschsims) :

There's still no such candle crown anywhere for the Sims 2, 3 and 4. Except an old unusable one at TSR which is a Sims 2 deco object (for light on candles) but once put on the Sim's head on a lot, the crown vanishes.
It's a bit all for now. I'm currently working on an Alsatian clothing-accessory set and it takes me some time.
I hope you like, anyway.
Thank you for your attention !

Thank you Cinda. I hope you're well.
I now finished the Alsatian dress and accessory set, but for the skirt I'll make another option from a Tomang Lolita dress (MTS, Sims 2). I already made of Tomang's dress a bottom skirt for my Hungarian friend Maya40. So I'll re-use it for a version 2 of my Alsatian dress.
The big head bow is from a top bow by Mussi (Sailor set) which I made ten times bigger for the head and it's adjusted to Helga 80 hair.
The skirt part is from Sifix' Noelle dress, split also as alpha overskirt. The top is entirely by me with alpha sleeves remodelled from a dress mesh by Natalis (TSR), ribbon by Marigold readjusted. Except that the small arm bows are from an Asian dress, the one by Marigold with backface tends to have too many black faces. The top ruffle is from Sifix Noelle dress, two rows of the skirt made smaller and readjusted and this was some work... The corset lace-up part is from Dreamgirl-Kurimas ruffle cami top (already converted by Kurimas). The shoes are babydolls often used by Julie J, but originally by Vanity DeMise. So I mixed things from Sims 4 and Sims 2, it's a bit of my own tips.
All is adjusted to Sussi bodyshape.

Thanks, Lizzy. I'm doing well and hope you are good as well.
That's a big bow. Such a cute traditional outfit!

I agree
I also finished now a Finnish Gipsy dress, that Kale women (Gipsies from Finland) still wear every day at home and outside. And these dresses are generally transmitted from mother to daughter and made with thick velvet for the hoop skirt.
So Kale Gipsy women rarely wear contemporary outfits, unlike other European Gipsies who are more or less assimilated.
Finnish Gipsies count among the happiest ones in Europe and perhaps in the world, with very good daily life conditions, with the same rights as any other Finnish citizen.
Kale Gipsy men also served the Finnish army on several occasions in the past. They are very often having a crafting professional occupation or small business (all related to building or house renovation, etc.).

Wow, what a beautiful dress! You did a wonderful job on it. Thanks for the history on Finnish Gypsy culture - very interesting!
