Daily Prayer For January 27, 2016

Hello, Friends! Here is the prayer for today…
Dear Lord,
There are so many things that drain our energy and deplete our reserves, especially when we are grieving, ill, stressed or not sleeping well at night… sometimes we are our own worst enemy and our mind is a constant battlefield and we just grow tired of trying to keep our thoughts in check… please help us to overcome negative, defeating and discouraging thoughts…help us to keep our mind focused on you today, Lord. Help us to find the joy in this day…help us to remember our blessings and to name them one by one. Help us to see the good before the bad…all that’s right instead of all that’s wrong… all that we are blessed with instead of what we lack…Help us to be clear minded and to dwell on things that are lovely, pure, good, holy and right. Help us to speak life-giving words to ourselves and to everyone we deal with today. Help us not to get caught up in pointless drama or negativity…may we have the mind of Christ…please help us to see with His eyes and love with His love…please grant us your wisdom that we might know your will and serve you well.
Some of us are starting out this day already tired… please help us to not be discouraged or overwhelmed by the things we have to deal with today. Please be our strength and give us energy… Help us to overcome any lack of sleep. Please put your healing hand on all who are ill and please meet each need…please help us to not grow weary in well-doing…help us to run well the race that is before us… You give us our daily bread, but never more than enough for each day so we will seek you daily…so we will seek you first and come to depend on you in all things…please create in us a hunger and a thirst for more of you…give us a longing to spend time with you…may spending time with you never feel like an obligation or duty, but something we look forward to…may we see our quiet time with you as the best part of our day…May our first thought be of you when we wake up and our last thought be of you before we fall asleep. We need you Jesus…we want to experience all you have for us and to live life to the fullest. We thank you that we have a Savior in whose name we can as these things. Amen
