Gabi's Store (clothes, accessories)
Sun May 15, 2016 5:01 pm
Hello all !
I thought I would share with you the link of a tumblr with gorgeous accessories, clothes for female adult Sims.
In spite of the sets labels with a female name, female Sims are not included. Each set might contain clothing as well as accessories at the same time.
Here you may go and enjoy because it's just beautiful : [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Thanks, Lizzy! I will add this link to the Sims 2 Links.
I see a lot of beautiful hairs I've never seen before but there are no links or credits to them...

For the hair on Sims it's the same for me. I have now tons of hair retextures. From Gabi's Sims, I recognised Skysims 195 (a sort of Russian braided updo), converted by Martini. See also at hat-plays-sims and the plumb bob keep forum. Mostly Newsea and Skysims, or make a short search over at TSR for these ones, either Sims 3 or Sims 2, then note down the name of the hair set and research with Google. Check at the allthehairs site as well.

Oh My Gosh! These are wonderful! Thanks for sharing Liz. Now, you don't think anything here has a Hack in them do you? Often I've downloaded hair and then my game starts going crazy. Just asking. Thanks so much.

I don't know what sort of hack you mean. Is it in regard to TSR ? I sometimes download from there and got no single issue. Many hair meshes from various sites are high poly and it takes me ages to browse through the whole hair catalogue in Bodyshop, that's why I split in subfolders for each creator/mesher and put all on my external disk, then I pick the hairs I want to create a Sim or for preview pics.
My sorting is far from being over, LOL ! I'm currently revamping old inbeatz bottom trousers, put them on sneakers meshes, Bloom's meshes, or for a few I rearrange the waist part, correct bits of the textures to make all look better. I don't stop revamping old stuff for clothes, it makes the sorting very long and slow... But it keeps some days busy...
I have to check Gabi's clothes and accessories, I don't stop downloading, LOL ! I think it's an addiction... But I like to keep things in case some sites would close some day.

Thanks, Lizzy, I'll take a look at those.

BB, CC doesn't have hacks, it's just that some CC has a high poly count, as Lizzy mentioned, which can cause freezes and crashes from the extensive memory it hogs.

As for possible odd files like thumbnails dlls or other dll inside a compressed folder (winrar and also some TSR files), they're temporary and after extraction these files should disappear, and if not it's easy to remove them from folders. You can make a search in your downloads for anything *.dll (put this in the search bar, also on an external disk where yor copied CC might be). Once you found such dll files you can remove them in My Documents, etc. But don't remove the dlls related to your system database folders (Windows, etc.) or if you do so for the system database it's the whole computer system that will be entirely corrupted and nothing will work again and you'll have to reinstall all over for you comp system (or get a new comp driver...).
In general high polycount items are a risk for any interactions of Sims inside a community lot or anywhere where you got NPCs. It's true for objects, all bodyshop. So, for stories, and such it's better to "work" on a special neighbourhood. For normal playing it isn't wise at all to have poseboxes and other game hacks cluttered up in the Downloads folder. I'd usually play Sims families on normal lots without needing access hacks as by inge jones (except for sofas), I'd just keep CEP by Numenor and use houses that do'nt need the Scriptorium for alls, fireplaces, etc.

Thanks to both of you for all the wonderful info and feedback. Lizzy, it's been a while since I've really played my game and downloaded anything. When Richard passed, I just put the Sims aside but now I'm easing my way back. I used to download a lot of stuff from TSR, and I remember after loading things, I would be missing things from my game and then have to reload them. I loaded some hair one time, or something,,,, I just assumed it was hair, and then I got that thing called. (I can't remember now), but I could not get my simmies to follow my commands. They would not move. Ohhh, had something to do with Teens having bby's or something. In any case, it really screwed up my game for 3 dang days or longer. I had to do research how to get that mess outta my game.
Somehow I figured it out and I was good. Then, that dreaded Mailbox issue. Remember that one Cinda? You name it, I had it. :affraid: That one I got from loading a lot and that defaulted my mailboxes somehow and all of my mailboxes in my apartments converted to a regular mailbox. Took me an intire week to fix that one. I had to go thru my files and look for these codes and delete them.
I really like downloading Hair, Lips and Eyes for my simmies, so I was just asking. You seem extremely technical and know what you are doing, and then we have Ms Cinda, who is always there to get our problems resolved, so no worries here.

Hello again I think I know what you mean about the mailbox issues, the ones you need either for OFB or AL (same things as for thrashcans). They're replacement objects, but I don't know how they could be in conflict with Bodyshop items (?)...
I generally do avoid default replacements for clothes, skintones, etc. as you need to have only one set for each and it's always confusing for me.
For other downloads, I always check now for orphan packages and delete them straight away... I'mp cleaning my old CC folders an d won't keep too old looking clothes or I put a few on other meshes. It doesn't leave me much time to actually play on a regular basis.

Yes BB, I remember both of these mishaps. That hack you downloaded was the Teen Pregnancy hack. It's never recommended to use a hack that actually changes a sim's or an object's behavior - it can really bork your game.

That sounds like something I need to do. I've noticed I have a lot of meshes missing from my clothing downloads. What a mess!

Sorry for the typo mistakes LOL ! (I'm tired of sorting to tell the truth) I have clothes from various bodyshapes, some meshes I never used really for my own retextures and in some cases I'd save them anyway with a texture and would compress them in winrar. I have the same problem with objects, many orphans and my objects folder is even more a big mess and I don't remember all too well because I don't sort much objects today, so it''s a bit "stand by" at the moment. For accessories and hair sets it's somewhat easier for me to remember all well for orphans, meshes are often the same ones. I'm meticulous for accessories sorting.
