I know that it's been quite a long time since I posted here. It's due to real life priorities.
About two years ago, I eventually managed to make of Milkshape my friend, first for shoes swaps on Sims 2 standard custom meshes, because I like to have a great variety of shoes.
Then a bit later I started to convert Sims 4 shoes, it was quite a big bunch in only 2 months in a row.
I was also tired to ask some people to do meshes for me and wanted to learn how to convert clothes, accessories. All I'm still not too familiar with is converting hair meshes, or more precisely...
It can be a real pain to sort, organise all Build/Buy mode sets using Master and slave meshes. Especially when you downloaded a furnished house and most, if not all, Master meshes are missing.
The best is to always download full sets directly from the mesher's site, read instructions and check if you got all meshes, for all textures to work.
For the easy tip I'm explaining, Delphy's Download Organiser (DDO) is required.
I'm taking an example that I know well : Steffor's single drape curtain which has been mirrored a few years ago (by Eefje, if I'm right).
seeking collaboration - announcement Please note that this wouldn't be a contest or limited in time.
I published this already at another Simmers forum. Already some positive replies for participation.
Intro
Its' been a long time since picolink multiweear closed. They used to have clothes (mainly) related to countries traditional wear, festivities. Since then, apart from Medieval, Victorian historial, I haven't seen much about other countries traditional clothing, deco objects, furniture recolours and houses. Plus I also miss...
Here I show you a few AF clothes retextures (yes I do photoskin...). They aren't revamps of other creators Sims 2 clothes or so.
A Pucci gown
Atelier Aimée black and white gown (I also made jewels for it)
Seasonal gowns and accessories, Autumn and Winter not shown because the pic size is bigger :
An elegant mauve dress :
I'm writing this quick note for all having the digital Sims 2 Ultimate Collection from Origin.
Tonight wow I might have lost all of the game, fatal error for launching the game or Bodyshop.
Cause for this : I made a quick maintenance scan with Glary Utilities (cheaper and much lighter than MalwareBytes) and the same issue appears if you use CCleaner to clean the registry things (for just cleaning cache, first CCleaner icon on the left panel, it's totally fine, you can run it). Either program used, they would remove an important...
Tehhi is at MTS, from Russia, but inactive. Her CC is pretty much old but some clothes of hers deserved "revamp".
Her pirate dresses are at MTS still today, on a Biene mesh, but the glitter patterns and the Biene mesh itseft were not to my taste.
Tehhi's originals are those :
My versions based on a gift mesh by Julie J (no more available online) and I used new patterns:
On the original version I didn't like much the sort of red ribbon around the skirt. I added a white part on the corset top,...
I just finished all today. It's made of a separate skirt (Julie J mesh), a top (Dee-Dee) and a headdress in two parts (bow on Kavar mesh and back veil on a Peggy mesh).
This is pretty much traditional from Alsace, my native region in France.
I guess it's the first Alsatian dress for the Sims 2 with accessory ever created. I've never seen it ever before on any site.
After fashion photos found on the Net.
Here on a mesh by Rose
A brown long dress with lace, but the outfit is top and bottom separates.
Here with a necklace as accessory (the necklace on the violet tee colour...
I didn't forget anactacia, my Russian friend. But by the end of March I needed a break until mid-June, so I wasn't often to be seen around.
I tested some meshes by anactacia from her tiny forum that she invited me to join in February. Great news : no issue at all with these meshes, they work perfectly well.
I took a few old outfits to revamp and here are the pics, as I promised :
Agustin revamp
Edenstyle revamp
I'm still reorganising my whole CC Downloads folder. Nothing finished yet, as planned.
I had many problems with accessories, finding the right mesh for each. Fortunately, in 2010 I sorted almost all old accessories, by type (jewels, hats, clothes as accessories, etc.). So I can find easily now in my current mess (all scattered in various folders on the desktop or on external disk, etc.)
So to find an accessory mesh for let's say a particular pendant necklace, Delphy's Download Organiser is needed.
1. If you're meticulous and collected all accessory meshes in a specific...
I planned to post here and share a few creations.
But while I was still finishing to sort AF clothes, I found a few retextures with no mesh (but not then showing as Maxis in such a case). The retexture packages are badly labelled like "outfit1", etc. and one set is called "GottaBeYou", and when I checked this set in Sims2Pack CI it was said incomplete project.
So I extracted the images of these clothes in SimPE. For a few I could recognise the meshes used, but for others I had to choose other ones. I like very beautiful shoes so the meshes are by Mila, Alisa and Martini *
I have a little Sims 2 forum totally private and for various reasons I won't make it public at all, but I occasionally archive some of my work there and interesting Sims 2 resources links.
Here I'll give an overview of my creations : some objects recolours, clothes and other Bodyshop retextures, a few Sims of mine, some of my residential lots.
I'm not a big fan of posting pics of my work all the time and everywhere, and even not so keen on ingame photos. So the pics of my Sims, most of time will be from Bodyshop. I don't play the game much. I'm in a looong process of reorganising...
